hey bethlehem,
about a month ago, precisely on april 10th.... wildflower turned one years old!!
this is a huge achievement and it could not have been done without the original founders of wildflower, which some of you may know as 2020 graduates: joanne lee and claudia harb!!
i remember the day they introduced the idea of wildflower, that's all it was! just an idea to connect our school together. so they got it designed with the talent of michelle fernandes, our current website designer and maintenance crew!
seeing the first draft of it in quarantine, i was amazed at all the amazing response it received by many students sharing their talents, interests and ideas! so in the middle of the crisis of quarantine, the team worked super hard to get edition #1 ready to go :))
since then wildflower has achieved great things including:
–– two successful competitions
–– fourteen editions
–– famous sydney artist MAY-A follow us!!
–– one group outing :)
–– reached to an audience in the united states & the united kingdom
–– over 3325 views on all articles!
–– four social media accounts (spotify, instagram, pinterest, youtube)
i have been honoured to watch it grow after every edition and i hope that wildflower is something we can pass down to new editors in chief year after year. watching them interpret and re-creating wildflower in their own image <33 soon my job here will be done and i will pass down the honour to alexia vidotto and a few of next years graduates :))
if anything, wildflower really proves that if you have an idea and a good support team here at bethlehem you can make dreams happen :))
