hello! my name is sammy and i graduated last year. my advice to all of you that are still in highschool is to enjoy the little moments. the academic part of high school is very emotionally taxing but the memories that you make with your friends, teachers and peers are what keep you going. everytime that you have a tender moment with a friend of teacher, etch that moment into your brain so that you can pull it out and admire it when it feels like your brain is fried from school work. think about the weather, the sounds that are around you, the way that they’re making you feel.
another piece of advice! don’t feel like you have to pursue a “practical” career to be successful! the arts are just as important as stem! if you want to be a filmmaker, a stage director, an actor! go ahead! do it! we all have different strengths and both fields are vital for a successful and functioning society.
just remember to breathe and not to get too bogged down,
