Christmas Tree Brownies (1)
Ingredients
190g butter, chopped
290g pkt milk choc melts
1 1/3 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
3 free range eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/2 cups plain flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder, sifted
Decorations
12 candy canes, trimmed, or sour lolly sticks
coloured icing for writing
150g pkt mini Smarties
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 160°c/140°c fan-forced. Grease a 19cm square cake pan. Line base and sides with baking paper, extending paper 3cm over edges.
2. Place butter, choc melts, sugar and milk in a medium saucepan over low heat and cook, stirring continuously, until melted and combined. Set aside for 10 minutes to cool.
3. Add egg, flour and cocoa powder, then stir until smooth and combined. Pour mixture into pan. Bake for 35 minutes or until just firm to touch. Cool in the pan, then chill in the fridge.
4. Transfer brownie to a chopping board, then cut in half. Cut each half into 6 triangles to resemble a tree. Insert candy canes into tree bases. Use icing and smarties to decorate.

Ingredients
3/4 cup butter (melted)
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 eggs
3/4 cup self-raising flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder (sifted)
1 tub Betty Crocker vanilla icing

Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a round cake tin with baking paper and set aside.
2. In a bowl, beat the sugar and eggs together and light and fluffy.
3. Beat in the flour, melted butter, cocoa and vanilla until well combined.
4. Pour into cake tin and bake for 25-30 minutes.
5. Leave to cool and slice into 8 wedges.
6. Place the vanilla icing in a ziplock bag and snip the corner off. Pipe the icing onto the wedges to cover the whole brownie.
7. Place a rice cracker into the bottom to create a tree stump.
8. Decorate with various decorations to your liking.
