Easy "No-Knead" White Bread



An easily-done crusty white bread, requiring little to no skill or effort :) This is the perfect recipe for those who are new to the art of bread-baking!



ingredients

  • 3 cups of plain or all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp active dry-yeast

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1.75 cups of warm water (microwave for approx. 1-2 mins). The water should be warm enough to still be able to touch comfortably.




method

1. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients together and mix well. A very sticky dough

should form. Cover with cling wrap or a tea towel and let the dough rise at room-

temperature for AT LEAST 5 hours (best overnight, if possible). Do not interrupt this

process; agitating the dough during the rising stage will affect its fluffiness in the end.

2. Once dough has tripled in size, preheat your oven to 230 degrees Celsius

3. Dust your work surface and the top of your dough with lots of flour, coating it

completely until it doesn't stick to your hands. Shape the dough so that we can transfer

it into a baking dish or pot lined with baking paper. Make sure you have a lid for the

dish


4. Put the lid on and bake for 30 minutes.


5. After 30 minutes, take the lid off and bake for a further 30 minutes


6. Let it cool before serving with what ever you'd like (having it on its own is personally my

favourite). Enjoy!!!
