so long, farewell, it's time to say goodbye :)

Updated: Jun 4, 2021

I still remember year 11, when Joanne Lee and Claudia Harb first told the school about Wildflower, I thought ‘this seems interesting - I want to see where it goes’. I really liked the idea of teenagers coming together to empower each other and still to this day, Wildflower has been a place to share ideas, experiences and talents all while inspiring others throughout our individual high school journey.

Over the past year I have had the privilege of participating in numerous competitions, writing articles and helping to promote Wildflower. It's been a great and fun journey and an absolute honour. Since its beginning, in 2020, it has been wonderful to see this initiative expand but this could not happen if it weren’t for the incredible team behind it.

I would like to take the time and personally thank a couple of people:

To Ms Cofini, for supporting our competitions, ideas and helping us expand Wildflower through numerous compass noticies. Thank you

To Lauren, who spent numerous days writing articles, organising competitions and being a dedicated editor in chief. Thank you

To those who are in charge of the social media accounts: Pinterest, Instagram, Spotify. I know that this was the most important way to reach our viewers so thank you.

A huge shout out to my friends ( Michelle, Maria, Yuuki and Serenity) who, when I asked and we were pushed for articles, came together to write for our next edition. Thank you !!

To the numerous article writers ( there are a LOT ) but a HUGE HUGE THANK YOU... to all the seniors, the juniors and the teachers who took the time to contribute and help expand Wildflower.

And most importantly, thank you to our viewers, Wildflower could not be a school initiative if it weren’t for those who tune in to listen to our individual stories, ideas and experiences.

Wildflower can only continue and prosper through the efforts and involvement of all the upcoming students. As our 2021 school motto says, through hope we flourish, together we prosper.

So, without further ado, the future website co-maintainers are: Sampada Khatri and Joey Dimou of year 10.

Congratulations to these two amazing girls!! I look forward to working with them and seeing their lovely ideas for the future Wildflower website.

I can not thank all these people enough!!
