You may know her as the wife of Manny Montana, that guy from Graceland or Good girls. But Adelfa Marr is more than that, yes, she is far more than someone else's Mrs.


Adelfa Marr is an American writer and an amazing life coach. Marr isn’t shy when it comes to ‘difficult’ topics to talk about, i.e. relationships, motherhood, self-care and just life in general. “It’s time to take care of you!” is boldly written at the top of her self titled website, all the more displaying Marr’s selflessness and desire to share the importance of self-care with others.



Marr’s gone through her own rough patches in life, as we all do, and felt trapped in times where she needed counselling and guidance but didn’t have the financial capacity for it. Luckily she made it out of the end of the tunnel a changed woman and wanted to make life counselling accessibility for people of all walks of life, as she believes (as do I) that it is incredibly beneficial for those going through difficult chapters in their lives.


There are countless reviews of women praising Marr’s life coaching abilities, saying that she is “not blindly optimistic. She’s empathetic and kind. She’s invested and committed.”


Everyone needs a little voice in the back of our heads just cheering us on like that soccer coach you see at your little brother's soccer match telling the kids how well they played even if they lost. That is exactly what Marr does, she is the voice of hope and optimism that many of us lose somewhere along the way, amongst all the ‘you could’ve done better’ that we hear countlessly throughout our lives.




If there is one thing that I learnt from Marr, it’s that everyone should take a little time to sit back, relax, and think about themselves every once in a while. I will leave you all with a little quote from one of the most bad-ass poets I know.
