Gurl, this has literally been me from day dot. First of all, it may take a little bit of time to get into a habit or a routine that works for you and your schedule. My best advice to give you is that when teachers give you lessons to work on your assignment take that opportunity to start bits and pieces and ask your teacher for help if you are unsure, any little but you do in school is less you have to do at home. If you have a teacher who rarely gives out homework and one day they happen to set it then make the attempt to do it because that teacher would expect you to do it and the least you can do is show a little bit of that same respect back to them.
Set yourself a goal, know what days you are busy and what days you are free, then work out what subject you may do each day. Taking 30 mins-1 hour of an assignment a night can really make a difference of you not doing it last minute.
Chipping away at things over time will result in a changed routine that hopefully sticks and works. You just have to be willing to put in the effort to make things better for you and remember that you are at school for a short time and in the wild world for a heap longer.
